BattleBox
There once was a time when office workers around the world would kill time by playing Minesweeper, and they still do, but now there's BattleBox. This is a take on the classic title that's hidden in your game corner on your PC but with some more flair. You're not performing the vital duties of removing mines and trying to rack up numbers, you're instead looking for treasure which is arguably safer and more lucrative. There's still some danger involving monsters that are protecting these treasures, but as long as you can search around them, you should be fine and come out the other end much wealthier than before.
About BattleBox
Boxes have been battling since the early pixel era and continue to do so in new forms thanks to Minecraft, but this isn't like that. This game puts you against boxes that are hiding all sorts of things and many of them are valuable. This means that the odds are in your favor, but that also means you may get too complacent with the situation. There are plenty of treasures to find, but you won't survive many monster encounters. Even so, that's the risk you take when you decide to get rich by looking for treasure, and without a monster-hunting background.
How to Play
BattleBox is a 2D puzzle game similar to Minesweeper that has you uncovering the hidden wonders behind blocks using the mouse. The area is arranged in a grid with equal sides and is marked by icons at the top of each column and beside each row. To interact with them, you move the cursor over to them and click the Left Mouse Button. The goal is to find all the treasures hidden in the area so that you can move onto the next site. All the details are shown at the top of the grid and the health is shown as three strawberries on the left side. If you lose all those strawberries, you'll need to retry the level.
When you start, the grid will be arranged in the center and show you the positions of all treasures, strawberries, and monsters. After a few moments, they will all be covered by boxes and you'll need to remember their placements. To select a box, click a row or column icon to select a line, and then pick the corresponding one to pick the box where the two intersect. If it's a treasure, it'll be added to your score. If it's a strawberry, you'll be healed for one if you've lost any by that point. If it's a monster, you'll lose a strawberry. You must collect all of the treasure to complete the level.
You can watch an ad to get access to a Reward underneath the grid which will reveal what's under all of the boxes for a limited time.
Tips and Tricks
At its core, this is a memory game where you simply have the mark where all the monsters are hidden. You can try to group them together for ease or just block off entire sections and start picking boxes around them. Alternatively, you can have a piece of paper handy and write down their positions.
