Block Shooting Merge
It all comes down to the numbers when you think about it with even creative fields depending on math in one way or another like when making a game like Block Shooting Merge. You've heard of 2048, a classic numbers game about getting bigger and bigger numbers. This is another challenge where you're not just sliding tiles around, but instead shooting them into position in a reverse Tetris kind of fashion. You never know what numbers you're going to get and this adds an additional challenge to the idea of trying to make bigger numbers and have fewer tiles to organize.
About Block Shooting Merge
Whether you're good at math or not, you can still recognize patterns, similar appearances, and/or colors. This game is a different take on an already well-established math puzzle that can be played quite casually. Even though you have more input and action with the act of shooting tiles into certain positions, it's still a matter of combining numbers. You can test yourself in terms of organization and planning by how you plan your setups. It gets to the point where every combination that you make has a huge impact on the overall arrangement. This is a math attack of a different kind.
How to Play
Block Shooting Merge is a 2D puzzle numbers game about combining numbers together using only the mouse. To select a number tile to fire, click on it with the Left Mouse Button and then click the column in which you want to fire it. Tiles with the same numbers will automatically combine as long as they're adjacent to one another. The goal is to get the highest number possible before being locked out.
You start with an empty board and low-number tiles in your reserves. As you begin to combine tiles, you'll gain access to higher-number tiles. You'll only be able to see a couple of tiles at a time in your reserves, but you can freely choose which one you want to fire. With more matches, you'll earn coins which can be used on power-ups. The hammer can be used to destroy any tile on the board while the swap can be used to switch any two tiles on the board. When you're unable to fit any more tiles into any of the columns, the game will end.
Tips and Tricks
This will require some planning very early on so make sure you're not just haphazardly firing tiles into empty spaces. Try to organize the tiles based on their size to keep things neat, but always make sure that the top-row tiles are never fully blocked off.
