Bugs are everywhere and they're a necessary base for most if not all ecosystems, and now you're watching as one bounces in Bouncing Bug. No one knows what kind of bug this is, it may be a fly of some kind or a strange type of bee. Regardless of what it is, this bug doesn't seem to be concerned with usual bug things aside from flying. Unfortunately, it's trapped in a box with monsters trying to eat it. It's going to make the most of its time by collecting the shiny things that appear and any food that might appear in the box with it.
About Bouncing Bug
There have been bug heroes and bug villains with one being a bit harder to sell than the other, but they can make for some interesting adventures. This is a game with a bug trapped in a simple but stressful ordeal. The bug is pretty big and is stuck in a relatively small space and can at least make use of the rubber walls to get around it faster. This is the biggest strength that the bug has aside from being able to zip suddenly in the air. The challenge is just how you use these strengths to help this little guy survive.
How to Play
Bouncing Bug is a 2D arcade game about a bug flying around a rubbery box and avoiding monsters using the mouse. The bug will fly either up or down to the left or right on its own, but by clicking the Left Mouse Button, you can cause it to change between up or down. The goal is to keep the bug safe as you lead it around to collect coins which will be tracked at the top right side of the screen. The bug's health will be indicated as small flies in the top left part of the screen. If you lose all those flies, your flight will end.
The coins you collect during your runs can be used to unlock different types of bugs in the Shop on the main menu You don't have to spend coins, they act as an overall score and the higher your score, the more bug types will be available. When you start playing, the bug will start flying around and will only change from left to right or vice versa by bouncing off the walls, ceiling, or floor. As the bug flies around, monsters will fly across from offscreen trying to eat the bug. The longer you last, the more monsters will start appearing. The bug will take damage upon coming into contact with a monster, but can restore health by eating the pieces of meat that occasionally spawn.
Tips and Tricks
There's only so much space to work with, so you should keep the bug's movements as narrow as possible. Try to keep it in the center of the box so that you better respond to the sudden arrival of monsters. Their shadows will appear first so watch for those to prepare.
