I scream you scream, we all scream for ice cream… unless it happens to be more destructive than it is health-wise like in Bad Ice Cream. This game puts you into the role of one of two sentient ice cream cones which seem to have a pretty bad attitude. As such, it's understandable that all the other creatures in the area are trying to get rid of you. But you can't let yourself get melted so easily. You're an ice cream cone that came to life so you want to make the most of it and that's probably why you're driven to collect sweet things like yourself.

A majority of games related to food either involve cooking or eating a lot. This one falls into the odd category of food that has come to life and has a mission. Because of this, there are a lot of thematic ideas to work with and experience. The graphics are very colorful with all the characters and assets having pleasing animations. The challenge can also be quite surprising as you go through the levels as you learn that this game requires more thinking than just running around and spamming the Action button. You've got to stay cool.
How to Play
Bad Ice Cream is a top-down 2.5D game about an ice cream cone that you control with the keyboard. This game can have two players locally or one player with two control schemes.
Player 1 Controls
- W - Move Up
- S - Move Down

- Q - Shoot/Break Ice Blocks
Player 2 Controls
- Up Arrow - Move Up
- Down Arrow - Move Down

The game is broken up into numbered levels with each one being a contained square area. To complete the level, you simply need to collect all the fruit. Sometimes you'll need to collect all the fruit to make more fruit appear. Aside from environmental obstacles like walls and rocks, the main obstacles are rows and columns of ice blocks. You can break a full line of block by moving against it and using the Action button. You can also create your own blocks in a line, as many as there is open space. There can also be floor hazards like ice that can affect your movement.
However, the biggest threat is enemies that will move around the area trying to hunt you down. They'll follow your movements and also have the ability to break through blocks, but not always as effectively as you. You can create ice blocks to trap them, but there's no way to defeat them, you just have to avoid them. If an enemy touches you, you'll be crushed and you'll have the start the level all over again.
Tips and Tricks
At the start of each level, you should identify all of the enemies and their behaviors in order to plan around them. You should always watch which blocks you're breaking as you may unintentionally open paths for enemies. If possible, try to corral all the enemies to one side so that you don't get surrounded.
