The thing is that you're not playing as animals getting bigger by eating, you are instead playing through the evolution of man and growing while hunting. The only way to get stronger is to fight and become stronger in this world and sometimes that means fighting those who are far stronger than you. It's a dangerous world, but through this danger will get everything that you need in order to evolve into peak human form.

There are many ways to improve strength and fighting skills but these can be slow and very time-consuming. That's why we need to turn to a game like this that can make our growth feel instantaneous. However, it's a rough game and you'll likely be defeated over and over again, but it won't let you get discouraged. Jump right back into the battle and keep your evolutionary chain going. It feels good to watch as your little fighter evolves into a mountainous warrior who can crush opponents with a single swing. Just be careful since all it takes is one opportunity for you to be felled as well.
How to Play
Evowars io is a 2D top-down online game about human warriors fighting and evolving that is controlled with the mouse. Your fighter will constantly be walking forward at a constant pace in whichever direction your cursor is placed. They can swing their weapon in a horizontal arc in front of them by clicking the Left Mouse Button. Your goal is to eliminate all the other warriors on the field while growing stronger.
Your fighter grows (or "evolves") in two ways: By defeating enemy fighters and by collecting XP points. Scattered across the ground are colorful circles which serve as XP. Your XP bar is shown at the bottom of the screen and when it fills up, your fighter will evolve. This makes them bigger and their weapon bigger, giving them a greater attack range. To defeat an enemy, you simply need to land a direct hit on their body with your weapon. Each swing has a cooldown time which is indicated by the weapon becoming grey temporarily. If you are struck down, you'll be destroyed and need to respawn. The sooner you respawn, the sooner you can continue from a more recent evolution.
In the lobby, you can check your collection of evolutions on the left side of the screen. By participating in events and playing more rounds, you'll unlock more of the collection. You'll eventually get to the point where you can equip each of your evolutions with different weapons and gear to customize their appearance.
Tips and Tricks
This is a game where you can either play passive or aggressive. There is value in taking time to gather XP, but you can also risk-taking down enemies much larger than you. Size doesn't matter as each warrior is defeated in one hit and bigger warriors are less likely to see you as a threat which can guarantee a huge XP boost if you manage to defeat one.

Excluding periodic events, this game currently offers three different modes:
- Free For All - The classic mode that pits you against everyone else.
- Teams - Join friends and allies in fighting together to be the strongest group.
- Offline - A practice mode of sorts that lets you play against AI opponents but offers no rewards.
