Skateboarding is a hard thing to do despite how accessible all those commercials from the '90s made it look, but Faily Skater is more of an accurate representation. You are playing a young skater boy who may have just bought his first skateboard. As he heads out onto the street, he catches a glimpse of a cool group of skaters and decides to skate after them. Life intervenes and he ends up skating down a less-than-ideal path with only his skateboard separating him from a trip to the hospital. See if this trial by fire will turn him into a true skater or a ragdoll.
About Faily Skater
Skateboard games can either be taken too seriously or not serious in the slightest if only for the thrill of launching people all over the city. This gaming is on the non-serious side but still tries to create a skating challenge. Sometimes skaters take a lot of risks to land new tricks or achieve certain feats and this skater seems to be trying to go for all of them in a single run. It's a rough road to skate down but it's the only way he's going to get any better. At the very least, all these runs will at least help with pain tolerance.
How to Play
Faily Skater is a 3D skateboard endless runner game about skating down a long and dangerous road with the keyboard.
Controls
- A/Left Arrow - Turn Left
- D/Right Arrow - Turn Right
- Spacebar - Jump/Do Trick
- 1-4 Num. Keys - Tricks
The goal is to become a pro skater by making it down the road and pulling off all sorts of tricks. Your skater is very fragile and colliding with any sort of solid object will knock them down and end the run.
Before you start skating, you can take the coins you gain from runs and prizes to visit the different stores. You can buy different power-ups to help you last longer or accessories to customize your skater. After that, you can start skating and will be shown a list of objectives to try and complete. The skater will descend automatically and you need to guide them away from danger. You can take ramps and different paths to reach items and new heights to get some air for performing tricks. At the end of each run, any completed tasks will be marked off and rewarded.
Tips and Tricks
As a skateboarding game, you're focused only on smooth riding and tricks. You can alternate and hold down trick buttons for a greater score, but make sure you have enough air to pull them off safely. Glowing yellow areas will generally lead to more points and opportunities for tricks.
