How to Play

Geometry Jump Game is a 2D runner game about a square jumping to music using the mouse or keyboard. The square will automatically move at a constant pace on the ground and while in the air. To make the square jump, press either the Up Arrow, the Spacebar, or the Left Mouse Button. During flying segments, the square will naturally fall towards the ground so tapping the Up Arrow, Spacebar, or Left Mouse Button will allow it to ascend and stay in the air. The goal of each level is to make it to the end of the course and the end of the music track.

When the level starts, the square will begin sliding from left to right. It will encounter obstacles like spikes that will instantly destroy it on contact. If it jumps at an angle that causes it to hit the corner of a platform or be blocked by a wall, this will also destroy it. Your level progress is tracked at the top of the screen, but you'll get checkpoints by passing through certain portals that appear in the level. By passing through a portal, the square will get on a flying object, turn into a different shape, and vice versa. Star Coins are hidden in parts of the level that you can collect for a higher score.

There's also a shop on the main menu where you can change the appearance of each of the square's forms.

Tips and Tricks

Your biggest clue to how the level is going to play out is the music itself. It's designed in a way to sync up with your jumping so that you can practice your timing. The flying segments are more freeform but just try to keep to the center of the space.
