When people talk about racing, they usually mean serious professional racing with huge fast kars when racing like in Kart Racing Ultimate is a lot more fun and less risky. Kart racing remains a popular activity among all ages and even though the karts don't have nearly the same amount of speed or power as other cars, the races can still be fast and intense. You need to be able to maintain speed and control when you're tackling sharp turns and trying to get around other racers. It can still be very dangerous which is why you're wearing all the gear needed to protect yourself from crashes. Let's go karting!

About Kart Racing Ultimate

Kart racing is a much lighter version of car racing but games tend to depict it as far more chaotic and less realistic. This game goes for a more realistic depiction, having you race in the style of karts and racers that drive them Like with other racing activities, you need to go fast but it's not just about building and maintaining speed. The track is arguably your biggest obstacle and you need to be able to take it as it comes so that you can stay in the race and reach the front. If you don't you'll just end up going bumper-to-bumper against the barriers around the tracks.

How to Play

Kart Racing Ultimate is a 3D racing game about racing karts around different tracks using the mouse or keyboard. You can toggle onscreen UI controls and then use the cursor and Left Mouse Button to interact with them.

Controls

W/Up Arrow - Accelerate
S/Down Arrow - Decelerate/Reverse
A/Left Arrow - Turn Left
D/Right Arrow - Turn Right
N - Use Nitro

The goal is to place first in whatever competition you're competing. Your standing and other racers will be tracked at the top of the screen. The track map will be shown in the top right corner of the screen, while your grip meter and car condition are in the bottom left and bottom right corners respectively. If you lose, you can always try again and the more you win, the more tracks you'll get to play.

Before you begin, you visit the Shop and Custom areas to purchase new karts or change the appearance of your selected kart. Each kart has different stats and will cost money to buy which you'll earn by competing. Once you have your kart selected, you can jump into the scene and pick your contest. You'll spawn in a position at the start of the track and then be set free to race against the other racers. You can weave and bump into racers and obstacles, but this will damage your kart, and if it takes too much damage, it'll be destroyed. Along the track, you can find Nitro pickups to give you speed bursts as well as money icons for extra cash.

Tips and Tricks

Since this is a racing game, you'll be tempted to go fast and karts feel like they have a bit more control than actual cars. However, the tracks are designed to accommodate and keep the challenge up so that you maintain control. Check the track map to prep for upcoming turns and use straightaways to catch up.
