The goal is to play the game however you want and see what kind of life you can build based on what you can find. There aren't really any threats or enemies to worry about, so you're free to explore and collect various items. The game ends if you get into an unfortunate accident or decide to quit.

Before the game begins, you can choose whether you're a person looking to adopt or a pet looking to be adopted. As the former, you start outside and can explore the city, but as the latter, you need to wait in the shelter for a person to come to adopt you. When you're out in the city, you can explore the different areas looking for purple coins that act as currency to spend on cosmetics in the shop. You can also get into hover cars scattered around the city and take them driving. You can also collect equipment like jetpacks which will let you fly around the area. There are many social areas, houses, and apartments to visit while wandering.

You do have a health bar which is shown in the top left corner of the screen. You'll take damage if you crash a car too hard or fall from too great a height. If you lose all your health, you'll have to restart.
