Terraria
Mining games exploded a few years ago and they're still hanging around as people keep digging into the genre leading to revisiting titles like Terraria. On the surface, this pixel world looks so friendly, colorful, and peaceful. The more you explore, the more you discover that there's plenty of danger hiding on the surface as well as hidden deep within the ground. The good thing is that you're a resourceful adventurer. All you need to do is spend some time swinging away with tools and then you'll be able to craft better chances at survival. Respect the terror of Terraria.
About Terraria
The thing about survival-craft games is that they're intended to be difficult by nature so you'll need to use everything at your disposal. This version of the popular game captures the base form of the game along with its mechanics and challenges. You may start not knowing where to go or what to do, but that in itself is the fun. You can do what you want in this destructible sandbox, but there are also tasks that you can come across and complete while you explore. Just make sure you have plenty of backup in terms of quality gear and tools.
How to Play
Terraria is a 2D survival-craft mining game about exploring and building in a pixel world using the mouse and keyboard.

The goal is to survive and gather new materials so that you can craft new items and gear. Your health is tracked in the top right corner of the screen. If you lose all your hearts, you'll need to start over.
When you begin, you'll spawn in an empty piece of land with a sword, a pickaxe, and an axe. The sword is used to fight enemies, the pickaxe for digging/mining, and the axe is used to cut down trees. Whenever you break a piece of land, you'll gather materials like wood and blocks that can be moved around to build new structures in the world. You can also gather new and interesting resources from animals and by fighting enemies.
Tips and Tricks
There's no rush to get to the top as fast as you can so go ahead and start small. The starting area of the game is quite safe with most of the hostile creatures posing a small threat. If you need to recover, you can always create a shelter by rearranging the blocks that you've gathered.
