There are those cars that make you wonder what exactly they were made for and RallyCross Ultimate makes a case for the more delicate models. These are cars made for flexibility and drifting around dirty terrain which makes for a more exciting face. However, the drawback is that it makes it far more dangerous as well. These cars can handle turns but if they're going too fast, every turn could be their last. Since you're behind the wheel, you'll be in charge of keeping your car on the road and sliding into those turns only to hopefully come out in first place.

About RallyCross Ultimate

Cross sports are those kinds of sports that you've probably heard about but don't actually know why they're called "cross". This game aims to answer that question by letting you compete in one of those sports. It involves a certain kind of car so you know that racing and driving well are going to be involved. The challenge comes in that the tracks can go all over the place with twists, turns, and bumps to mess with your control. Of course, you'll have to master your car and see how it handles if you want to keep taking first place.

How to Play

RallyCross Ultimate is a 3D racing game about flexible cars driving around twisted dirt tracks using either the mouse or keyboard. The onscreen UI can be controlled via the cursor and Left Mouse Button.

Controls

W/Up Arrow - Accelerate
S/Down Arrow - Decelerate/Reverse
A/Left Arrow - Turn Left
D/Right Arrow - Turn Right
Q/E - Drift
N - Nitro

The goal is to compete in the different events and win to earn money and become the best racer ever. The more events you compete in, the more experience you earn which will improve your standing. If you lose in a level, simply try again and get better.

Before you start racing, you can visit the Custom screen to change how your current car looks or go into the Shop to buy an entirely new car. This requires cash which you can earn by winning in the different events. After you've got your car, start the game and choose the event you want. Each one has a series of levels and more will be unlocked as you keep winning. Each one will place you among other racers who will all be competing for the top spot. You'll need to keep driving until you finish, either winning or losing. After each one, you'll earn XP shown in a star meter.

You can find pickups for money and Nitro boosts along the track for some extra help in and outside of the race.

Tips and Tricks

This is a racing game that has somewhat loose controls to give you an idea of what these kinds of cars are like. It's very easy to slide around which is why you're encouraged to drift as you enter a turn to come out smoothly at the end of it. If you drift too early or too late, you'll just end up crashing.
